Behind every winning campaign is a strong, aligned team, and we partner with candidates and campaign managers to develop the leaders who make that possible. Our coaching helps to prepare and support candidates and campaign leaders to grow as individuals, lead people well, and build teams able to withstand the stress of campaign life. The result is stronger alignment, clearer communication, and a greater capacity to win, now and in the long term. This work is an investment not just in one cycle, but in the future of the movement.
Stacy and Jenna have coached senior leaders in the 2020 Biden for President and 2024 Harris for President teams, at the DNC, the DSCC, the DCCC, the ASDC, Blue Leadership Collaborative, Fair Fight, Empower Project, EMILYs List, Planned Parenthood, Communication Workers of America, and more.
The Challenge
Campaign life moves fast. Without intentional support, even the strongest teams can lose clarity and connection. The same pressures that drive performance can also drive burnout. When every day feels urgent, teams stop growing and start just surviving.
Our Theory of Change
When teams slow down to invest in self-awareness, relationship-building, and building intentional team culture, they create a foundation for sustained collaboration and shared success. Change begins when we create space to pause, reflect, and rebuild together - because alignment and resilience don’t happen by accident.
Our Work Plan

This phase sets the foundation. We work with state leadership to clarify goals, identify participants, and align on how development will fit into the campaign’s rhythm. Early relationship-building ensures shared ownership and clarity from the start. We’ll engage in:
Conversation to support program setup (clarifying expectations, roles, routines);
Development of individual and team-level culture goals.

This phase focuses on moving from self-awareness to shared awareness and building a collective team culture. Teams come together in person to connect and define how they want to lead and work together. Leaders clarify their values, communication norms, and collective commitments for the months ahead. During this phase, we’ll:
Begin 1:1 coaching;
Facilitate a team retreat focused on values-based culture-building;
Provide team coaching as needed / requested.

As your team scales, this phase supports long-term effectiveness. Through coaching, we focus on reinforcing healthy habits, deepening collaboration, and strengthening resilience so your team can adapt, communicate, and stay aligned through the inevitable ups and downs ahead. We’ll also initiate a 360° check-in to capture progress and identify necessary changes in our own process to be sure you’re getting what you need. During this phase, we will:
Continue 1:1 coaching;
Facilitate a mid-point retreat as needed.

As campaign intensity increases, ongoing coaching and targeted team sessions help you stay centered, adaptive, and connected. This phase sustains learning, helps manage stress, and keeps team culture aligned under pressure by supporting the individuals within the system. We’ll continue:
1:1 coaching;
Support for closing the cycle.

In the final stretch, we help leaders reflect on accomplishments, navigate transitions, and carry forward lessons learned. The close-out retreat and coaching sessions focus on resilience, closure, and preparing for what comes next, both personally and organizationally. We’ll:
Use what resonates from the End-of-Cycle Transition Playbook to take your team through a closing process;
Close our 1:1 coaching relationships;
Facilitate a closing retreat.
