Team and Board Retreats

We create customized retreats for your team or Board to ensure time well spent together.

PROCESS

We create customized team and Board retreats; to do so we work alongside you and your team to build the most impactful scope possible.

We believe that retreats are a critical component of a team’s and Board’s collaborative creation of culture, strategy, and focus. Depending on your circumstances, your needs are unique and, like with team coaching, we don’t presume that a prescriptive approach is the way forward.

We begin our process with a series of planning meetings to understand the pressures your team, Board, or organization is experiencing, and to determine the retreat’s purpose and outcomes. We’ll work together with you to craft an agenda that focuses on relationship building and communication, and design an experience that feels deeply connected for all. We’ll debrief the retreat, outline suggested next steps, and support your follow up.

FEES

Our fee structure for team and board retreats ranges, depending on the size of your team and the work you’d like to do together. Our half-day (3-4 hours) facilitation rate starts at $5,000 and includes up to two planning meetings, debriefs, and follow-up. Our full day facilitation rate starts at $10,000 (6-8 hours) and includes up to four planning meetings, debriefs, and follow-up.

Contemporary music is theoretically for everyone. Historically, though, decisions about what gets produced, where it is performed, and who has access have rested with a privileged few.

In recognition of this fact, and with the desire to forge a different path, Third Angle New Music reached out to Women’s Brain Trust. We wanted to examine our own biases and cultural inheritances together in an open, honest way. But we were unsure about how to start.

Women’s Brain Trust led our board and leadership team through a series of thoughtful, supportive explorations of institutional racism and our own internalization of those structures. Through readings, journaled reflections, and discussion, our team practiced confronting difficult truths and speaking honestly. Throughout this process Women’s Brain Trust acted as a guide, pushing us to go deeper. They created a space where everyone was heard—and ultimately, everyone was transformed.

The discussions facilitated by Women’s Brain Trust created a framework of understanding that enabled Third Angle to begin weaving equity and inclusion throughout all of our policies and our work. We are now equipped to take the next steps in our evolution as a catalyst for change.

WBT was a terrific thought partner in engaging our management team and helping facilitate conversations that helped move the team and our organization forward. The sense of partnership with WBT continued even after the consultancy ended, and the firm stands ready to support us as we implement the recommendations they offered. My experience working with WBT felt more like partnering with a vested internal expert than hiring a consultant typically does. WBT’s interest in supporting our management and leadership teams in better communicating and collaborating was clear throughout the engagement. WBT challenged us to step outside our collective comfort zone and consider approaches we have never considered.
